School Meals
INFANTS
We work in proud partnership with the Lambeth Consortium of schools and ISS Facility Services to provide a mid-day school meal for children from Reception to year 2. Our meals are prepared at a local consortium school kitchen and delivered daily just before service. The lunch menu change each term to ensure that your child has a varied choice from the well-balanced and healthy meal menu. Our aim is that every child has access to a cooked school meal and we are confident that we are able to provide something for everyone. Our special diet menu ensures that children with food allergies are well catered for by means of the Special Diet Referral.
There is no charge for school meals at the infants school.
Full time Nursery children are required to bring in a packed lunch. Packed lunches should not contain glass bottles, fizzy drinks, chocolate or sweets. St Bede's is a NUT FREE school, so nor raw nuts or foods containing nuts are allowed in the school. In line with our Healthy Schools Policy, packed lunches should be brought in a suitable container with your child’s name clearly marked on it.
The school encourages pupils in Reception, year 1 and year 2, to have a cooked school meal as these are free of charge to parents under the current Universal Free School Meal provision.
